Linux / Windows Network Admin


Requirements الوصف الوظيفي :

•• Linux / Windows Network Administrator (Hosting) ••



• Operating a large-scale, 24x7 web hosting environment.

• Building and maintaining healthy Linux / Windows2003 servers in high uptime and according to best practices for hosting business.

• Configure new servers using automated deployment tools.

• Ensure monitoring tools and management programs and appliances are updated and healthy.

• Properly plan for backups, security updates as well as system upgrades as needed ahead of time for all servers and related network points.

• Support other groups with troubleshooting and ticket resolution as needed.

• Set and implement proper work policies and procedures including planning for disaster recovery.

• Involved in streamlining system admin tasks, developing new hosting services to offer customers and involved in the creation of new self-serve web hosting applications.

• Web hosting supervision and administration of various hosting control panel applications.

• Experience: 4 years in web hosting field with preference to ISP experience


Skillsالمتطلبات

• MS Word, Excel, Visio and Project

• Advanced protocol knowledge (TCP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, DNS and Radius)

• Competent in conversation and team work

• Familiarity with network management tools (Nagios, Cacti, Remedy, RT, etc) and 24x7 support processes and policies

• Dump / Restore

• User management

• Linux Kernel updates

• APACHE

• Shell scripting

• SQL and MySQL Admin

• PHP / PERL Programming would be a plus

• DNS Management

• Windows 2003 IIS6 Setting and configuration

• Age between 25 and 40 years

• Good English skills both written and verbal

• Training & Certificates

• CCNA Certification or similar certification in networking

• MUST have MCSE and Linux related administration certification

• ITIL course or certification

• Security or other related certification or courses
